Bombardier Inc. engages in the manufacture of transport solutions worldwide. It operates in two segments, Bombardier Aerospace and Bombardier Transport. The Bombardier Aerospace segment designs, manufactures, and supports aviation products that comprise business aircraft- commercial aircraft, including turboprops, regional jets, and single-aisle mainline jets- and specialized and amphibious aircraft. This segment also offers component, maintenance, and training services, as well as fractional ownership, jet card programs, charter brokerage services, and whole aircraft ownership and management. The Bombardier Transportation segment designs, manufactures, and supports rail equipment and systems, which comprise passenger rail vehicles, such as light rail vehicles, metro cars, and commuter and regional trains, as well as intercity, high speed trains, and very high speed trains- locomotives, propulsion and controls, and bogies- and automated people mover systems. This segment also offers fleet maintenance, refurbishment and overhaul, and material solutions, as well as rail control and signaling solutions for mass transit systems comprising metros, light rail, or automated people movers. Bombardier Inc., formerly known as Bombardier Limited, was founded in 1942 and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
