Cascades Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the production, conversion, and marketing of packaging products and tissue papers primarily composed of recycled fibers. It produces coated boxboards for conversion into folding cartons and micro-flute packaging for food and consumer products- containerboards and corrugated products for the food, beverage, and consumer products industries- and industrial packaging products, including roll headers and paperboard packaging, laminated boards, heat plates for sealing roll edges, honeycomb paperboards, uncoated boards, headers and wrappers, and spacers and partitions used to package products, as well as offers graphic art and printing plate services. The company also provides consumer product packaging products, such as moulded pulp products, filler flats, and trays and specialty packaging products for poultry farms and the restaurant businesses- and multi-use containers and wrappers for packaging coins, as well as offers kraft paper, which include butcher paper, paper for envelopes and asphalt coating, and paper that withstands grease or moisture. In addition, it provides backing for vinyl flooring- de-inked pulp for the production of tissue and fine paper- and services related to recovery and recycling of waste, as well as recycles waste plastics, and offers building construction boards and outdoor furnishings. Further, the company provides bathroom and facial tissues, paper towels and napkins, paper hand towels, specialty papers, parent rolls, industrial wipes, and other products for commercial, industrial, and institutional markets. Cascades Inc. sells its products, principally in Canada, the United States, and Europe. The company was formerly known as Papier Cascades Inc./Cascades Paper Inc. and changed its name to Cascades Inc. in October 1982. Cascades Inc. was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in Kingsey Falls, Canada.
