It also provides distribution switchgear, transformers, transformer terminations and accessories, capacitors, voltage regulators, surge arresters, energy automation solutions, and other related power systems components for utilities, and electrical power transmission and distribution industries. The Electrical Products Group segment manufactures, markets, and sells electrical and circuit protection products, support systems, enclosures, specialty connectors, wiring devices, plugs, receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures and controls, and fuses for use in residential, commercial, and industrial construction and maintenance, as well as repair applications. The company was formerly known as Cooper Industries Ltd. and changed its name on September 9, 2009. Cooper Industries plc was founded in 1833 and is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
