Essential Energy Services Ltd. provides oilfield services related to the ongoing servicing of producing wells and new drilling activity to oil and gas producers in western Canada and Colombia. It operates in two segments, Well Servicing and Downhole Services & Rentals. The Well Servicing segment offers well completion and production/workover services in Alberta, northeastern British Columbia, and southeastern Saskatchewan. This segment operates a fleet of 62 service rigs- 16 rod rigs- 50 coil tubing rigs, including 3 deep coil tubing rigs, 16 masted coil tubing rigs, 13 intermediate rigs, and 18 shallow rigs, as well as 10 nitrogen pumpers and 6 fluid pumpers- and other ancillary well servicing equipment. The Downhole Services & Rentals segment engages in the rental and sale of downhole tools, including the Tryton MSFS, retrievable and permanent packers, flow control accessories, liner hanger systems, and workover tools, such as bridge plugs, casing scrapers, cement retainers, and selective/straddle simulation tools in Alberta and south-eastern Saskatchewan. It also offers oilfield equipment rentals comprising drill pipe, heavy weight pipe, collars, degassers, blowout preventer rams, spools, pipe racks, handling tools, stabilizers, and reamers. In addition, this segment provides electric wireline and slickline services, which perform logging and perforating services from a fleet of 12 electric wireline trucks and 6 slickline trucks. The company was formerly known as Essential Energy Services Trust and changed its name to Essential Energy Services Ltd. in April 2010. Essential Energy Services Ltd. was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
