It also provides various services, such as styling salon, optical, portrait photography, and custom decorating. The company also sells its products through its Internet Web site, jcp.com. As of September 14, 2011, it operated approximately 1,100 department stores. The company was founded in 1902 and is based in Plano, Texas.
