It also sells timber- minerals, and oil and gas to construction and energy markets- timberland tracts- and seed and seedlings, poles, plywood, and hardwood lumber products. In addition, the company offers structural lumber products for use in the structural framing of new residential, repair and remodel, treated applications, industrial, and commercial structures- engineered lumber products for use in the floor and roof joists, and headers and beams in residential and commercial structures- structural panels for use in the structural sheathing, subflooring, and stair tread of residential and commercial structures- and hardwood lumber products for use in furniture, pallets, ties, moldings, panels, cabinets, architectural millwork, components, and retail boards. Further, it provides building products, such as cedar, decking, siding, insulation, rebar, and engineered lumber connectors, as well as provides homebuilding solutions. The company sells its wood products and services primarily through its own sales organizations and distribution facilities. Additionally, it offers fluff pulp for use in sanitary disposable products- papergrade pulp primarily for use in printing and writing papers, and tissues- specialty chemical cellulose pulp for use in textiles, absorbent products, specialty packaging, and proprietary high-bulking fibers. The company also constructs single-family houses, as well as develops residential lots and land for construction and sale- and master-planned communities with mixed-use property. Weyerhaeuser Company was founded in 1900 and is based in Federal Way, Washington.
